While there are apps that have powerful identification tools, Field One helps you give context to your observations. That means understanding the whole and not just the parts. You also get navigation tools to plan your expedition and view different map layers to learn about the terrain.
The Field One Explorer allows you to put away your phone and use a dedicated pocket device to identify images and sounds, record voice notes, and navigate with GPS without any distractions and seamlessly connecting with the Field One app.
Digital tools can be limiting sometimes. A Field One kit comes with a printed field guide and other observation and cataloguing tools to make your expedition feel tactile. The kit is modular and can be customized for geology, biology or art.
One of Field One's key features is the ability for users to output a story of their expedition. So their observations during their journey can be shared. Their stories contribute to a larger global story of knowledge and conservation of nature.
The brand strategy involved a thorough analysis  of the different kinds of users and their pain points in order to understand their journey to guide the UX as well as the tone of the brand.
